The bodycon dress was cut to accentuate your curves. A perfect style to take you from work to play, this dress will keep you looking sharp while staying comfortable in luxurious organic pima cotton.
The pima cotton plant has extra-long cotton fibers, which creates softer, more durable fabric. This dress will not only feel silky against your skin, it will resist pilling and wear, wash after wash. Printed with fiber-reactive dyes, the colors of this dress will stay vibrant throughout the years.
Print The original Silvania print, "Pasto" means "pasture". Silvia, Silvania's founder, was inspired by a typical Andean scene with llamas, birds, flowers, and plants when she created this print.
Details Made in Peru with 100% organic pima cotton interlock. Printed with fiber-reactive dyes. This dress is preshrunk, however in a 100% cotton knit, it is difficult to completely eliminate shrinking from washing and drying. Expect this dress to shrink about one inch in length with normal laundering. To avoid shrinking, use cold water to wash and hang to dry.
Care Instructions Wash by hand or machine in cold or warm water. Line dry or machine dry on low heat. Iron as needed.
Production notes
Fabric: This beautiful organic pima cotton was grown in the north of Peru. The interlock was knit for us by Bergman Rivera, pioneers in the production of organic cotton textiles in Peru. Bergman Rivera was the first company in Latin America to be certified under Global Organic Textile Standard (G.O.T.S), a certification that not only guarantees the traceability organic cotton, but also sets a standard of fair treatment of every person involved in the production of fabric.
Printing: The fabric in the bodycon dress was printed digitally with fiber-reactive dyes at Precotex in Lima, Peru. Digital fabric printing reduces water pollution and waste by applying the exact amount of dye needed directly to the fabric, without screens.
Sewing: The bodycon dress was cut and sewn at The Orange Concept, a small, family-owned garment factory in Lima. Georgia visits the factory regularly, and is always welcomed to visit with workers as they sew Silvania products. This small factory has safe working conditions, offers fair pay, and never exploits child labor.
